Fuselages made of composite are like plastic - I'm the Plastic Pilot who flies the plastic planes
This is my blog, and it's about modern general aviation, glass-cockpits, FADECs, but also aviation in general

Improved layout

I somehow compacted this blog’s layout a bit, in an attempt to streamline it, make it more readable, easier to navigate, and give even more room to content. I hope you’ll enjoy it - feel free to contact me to give me any feed-back, even if you found a bug, or simply hate it ;-)

Any question ?

I always enjoy answering reader’s questions, as far as they are aviation related ;-). If you have one to ask, this post is for you. Just post your question as a comment, and I’ll answer it as soon as possible.

The answer will be published either as a new post, or per e-mail as well if you leave your address. If I can’t answer it myself I’ll seek for some expert information before coming back to you.

Feel free to ask anything you want, there are no silly questions, just silly answers…

Hi - I have a late ninetys Saratoga II-TC purchased last year. I am very happy with it other than with the KFC 150 which I find a pretty dreadful autopilot (IFR flying).
I was wondering what is your experience with it in the Saratoga and if you have had any change to hear about autopilot upgrades for the Saratogas from the KFC150.
I have previous experience with the STEC 55 in Cirrus aircraft (about 20 HRS) and it is a much better experience.
Also, any views about glass cokpit retrofit always for the Saratoga?
    Thanks
