Where The Clouds Are Made
This picture has been taken at a very secret place, where the factory producing low level clouds for all Switzerland is located !
As you can see, the factory itself is hidden in fog, but on this particular day the exhaust pipes of Cloud Production Units 1 and 2 were just visible.
Ok, seriously now… these are the chimneys of a refuse incineration plant, which is located beside the Rhone river, south-west of Geneva.
On cold mornings of high-pressure, fog forms along the river, making it even more visible. As it is low level fog, the chimneys just get on top.
