Max Trescott on General Aviation - www.maxtrescott.com
Max Trescott is a well known aviation advocate, author, instructor and writer. I already mentioned him on this blog when talking about G1000 transition tips because I used his book and CD-ROM to make this step easier.
Trescott started a blog days ago - “Max Trescott on General Aviation“. Amongst the first posts, a very impressive about Safety Goals for General Aviation which not only pinpoints safety factors affecting general aviation, but also formulates 8 proposals to improve.
Some are very US oriented, but others can be applied and supported worldwide. Trescott particularly focuses on night flying, and what is required to remain night current. The legal requirements (FAA and JAA) are quite low… so it’s up to you pilot to know your limits, and get an instructor for a night refresh if you feel rusty.
Thank you Max for this blog, I will certainly follow you closely.
