What Is You Plane Of Choice ?
When I wrote the post about all planes I flew, I dropped a few lines about each, without any kind of classification. As all pilots, I however have preferences. My favorite plane (amongst those I flew) is the PA32 Saratoga , because of its speed, performance, and because those I fly are well equipped.
The DA40 TDI comes in second, because it’s fun to fly, and operate, and the performances are good in mountain thanks to the turbo diesel engine. The G1000 version is much more attractive to me for obvious reasons.
So, what about you ? Which is your favorite type of aircraft, and why ? Please, read the question again before posting your comment. I don’t ask for planes you don’t like, no negative criticism here. What I ask you for is your favorite type amongst all those you flew or fly. Go ahead !

Why don’t you want negative criticisms? Knowing why someone doesn’t like a plane is as interesting as knowing why he/she likes it. At least for me.
I love the Robin DR221. Because like all Jodel-like, she’s beautiful.
I thike the “technical flying” of a tail-dragger.
Visibility is awesome with the bubble-shaped canopy.
I also like…the smell in the cockpit!
I like the Tecnam P20002 too. It’s good looking, very easy to fly while requiring to be acurate on the parameters (especially the speeds). It’s demonstrative, quiet. A very nice very light aircraft.
It performs like an ultra-light at low speed, stalls at very low speed (40kt with no flaps, 28kt full flaps, if I remember). It performs like a “real aircraft” at high speed and cruises at 110kt. And more, it’s quite cheap to fly.
I also like the Robin DR400. It’s an unthreatening aircraft. It’s a bit “lump” but I really like it when I take several people for a sunday ride.
I won’t tell you why I don’t like Cessna and flying with a yoke in general since you don’t want negative comments

@Pat: thank you for being the first to answer. I will may be rephrase the part about negative criticism. What I would not appreciate is a comment with negative criticism only. There are good and bad things in all planes, and what I want to avoid is to start a sterile comment war. As you know the Cessna vs. Piper issue sometimes looks becomes religious thing, and I don’t think such an argument would add value to the post.
If you can express why you don’t like Cessna and yokes in a relaxed and objective way, feel free to do it (I’m sure you can).
