Winter Landing and Take-off in Courchevel

by Vincent on March 18, 2008

Here is a new video I took in Courchevel few days ago, as passenger in a PA28. The presence of skiers so close to the threshold makes operations in winter even more impressive than in summer.

If you like it, have a look at my previous Courchevel video, in a C172-TDI, in summer.

The intense traffic in winter (look at the KingAir on the parking) that an AFIS agent is operating. Thus it is no longer needed to use the “cable-car-altimeter-setting” procedure. The AFIS and snow clearing makes the landing a bit expensive: 80 Euros !
