I’m a Visionary !
Do you remember my 1st of April post ? The one about how research on fish skin could help reduce drag by 13%. Just in case you did not understood it, it was my personal April’s fool. Or my April’s vision shall I say.
This blog is not become esoteric, but when I saw today on AvWeb that some scientists found out that “corrugated” skin could help reducing drag by 50%, I felt like…. wow !
And the best is that the end of this release mentions that this is not a “new” idea, as dolphins are doing it naturally ! If I were a paranoid, I would certainly think that someone was trying to fool me. But I’m sure both AvWeb and newscientist.com have better to do than organizing a personal joke for me.
If only my personal vision of a modern, affordable, and popular general aviation could become true as well… To help make it happen - and to have something serious in this post - you can give your tips to AOPA via their online survey. This is much more likely to improve the situation than relying on my strange visions…

That’s funny… when I saw the original article, I did not read past the headline. I had recently read an article on research into sharks that had similar goals and assumed that it was about the same thing.
With such strange research going on, sometimes it is difficult to make a real April Fool’s joke.
