Bloggers about the G1000
I like to read about flying from other pilots. Books and manuals are fine, but nothing is like direct feedback from pilots like me, and the Internet is a wonderful source. Before my DA40 differences training I read what Philip Greenspun wrote about it. I wrote a lot about the G1000 but I’m not the only one. Read more from other pilot bloggers from the links below.
Glasspilot.com is dedicated to flying with glass cockpits. Your can read more about the SVT features from there.
I already mentionned Philip Greenspun. His flying page includes a comparison between Avidyne Entegra and G1000, but also many other interesting topics.
AviationMentor has many G1000 posts. There is no search or tagging feature in this blog, but you can click here to make a G1000 google search in aviation mentor.
Jason from Vectors to final recently underwent the G1000 training. He reported a handful of times about it on his blog, which also do not include search feature… This post is a good starting point, but you can also google search G1000 in Vectors to final.
Patchfly addresses a pretty typical question in a dedicated post: shall new student pilots learn to fly with steam gauges or glass-cockpit ?
You can also read about G1000 training and checkout from pilotmikekc.com, happylandings.blogspot.com and www.jeffreysigmon.com.
Happy reading ! If this is not sufficient you can find all my G1000 posts from the archives.
