Hi

Now that DA42 looks like a lovely aircraft! I'm certainly going to have a look around my local flying clubs for one of those once it's time to renew my multi-engine rating.

Looks way more exciting than Cougars I've flown in the past!

Best wishes for a safe flying 2009!

Thank you Axel, and let me wish you a Happy New Year as well. I hope you'll have fun in the Seneca. It's just like a twin-engine Saratoga.

I hope the local school I identified will not have to raise the DA42 price. More about that soon, I promise.

Vincent,
From Florida I wish you a very happy, prosperous new year with plenty of flying too! ...and maybe even a multi rating on the DA42! That would be awesome....looking forward to hearing more about that!

Probably due to higher maintenance cost related to the Thielert bankruptcy (at least that's what I've been told), my flight school here in Florida bumped up the rental price for the DA42 with about 100 dollars. Therefore I have decided to do my multi rating on the - less exciting, but now far less expensive - Piper Seneca. A friend of mine here is instructing on the DA42 and according to him it is a breeze to fly....so in other words you should be up for some great fun with that multi rating! :)

I am looking forward to reading about your flying adventures and upcoming stories in the new year and meanwhile I will keep myself busy working towards my own goal of becoming a multi-rated commercial pilot.

Take care and best of luck in the new year!
