No pilot can forget the day of his first solo. Flying along on board for the first time is a once in a lifetime experience. I can still remember the details of the day I flew my first circuit on Geneva Grass Runway 05 in HB-HGB, an AS-202 Bravo…

What have YOU done after your first solo?

After my first solo I was totally “high” and that made me dare to chat with a very cool helicopter CFI (female!) and her pupil over a coffee.
And then – out of the blue – they offered to take me for a ride and flew me around over the Elbe. That was one of the nicest things that ever happened to me.
So I had two glorious experiences on one day and will remember it forever as one of the best days of my life.
I went to work (this was an early morning training session on a weekday) with a big grin on my face
Later in the day I took a photo of that stamp that read “competent to fly solo by day in C152″ in my logbook and emailed it to my family.
