As pilots or passengers, we have a different view on the world. Seeing from above creates new perspectives. Some beautiful things can only be seen from the air. Fascinating moments, like the seconds before entering a cloud, are know to a luck few only. These pictures are amongst my favorites, and contain a bit of what makes flying an extraordinary activity… No way you could get such pictures from ground level.
Geneva lake and city. I like the way the algae create color variations in the lake.
Terrace wineyards on the north shore of Lake Geneva…
On the east end of Lake Geneva, where the Rhône rivers enters the lake. No, this is no pollution, but the water quality in the lake and from the river are simply different.
The “Creux-du-van”, a natural, geological circus, north of Neuchâtel Lake… Best seen from the air.
Geneva airport’s main runway… overflying a landing aircraft
The Rhône river, flying through Geneva city – yes, I really love this city
Few seconds before entering into a cloud…
The perfect mountain lake. Water often gets surprising, wonderful colors from above
A loop of the Rhine river, in north-eastern Switzerland. Kids use to jump in, swim along the loop, get out, and do it again, after a very short wall across the piece of land in the middle
Approaching a pass in the Alps…
Rainbow over England
Getting on top, one of the best parts of flying IFR
England’s cliffs
Few clouds over Germany
La Chaux-de-Fonds, a very structured, lined-up city
I hope you enjoyed these pictures as much as I enjoyed sharing them. You can find much more in the photo galleries. If you have some pictures you’d like to share, contributions are welcome. Let’s share the passion of flight through pictures !
