Gallery 1 – Geneva to Sion and back in a PA28
This flight was from Geneva (LSGG) to Sion (LSGS) following the north short of Geneva lake, then the Rhône valley. The plane was HB-PFE, a good old PA28-181, which left the club since then. I had a colleague in the aft seat, and his son on the right seat. For performance reasons, we took-off from runway 05 concrete.
Turning into the valley at Martigny… As wind was calm, and there was no other traffic, we got a direct apprach to runway 07.
The flight home was same route, but south of the lake, then overflying Geneva city, and crossing the main runway at 3000 feet to land on the grass strip.
Finally, some plane spotting in the club. HB-HFK is an AS-202 Bravo basic trainer. By this time, the club was also operating a Robinson R22, but it is now flying somewhere else.
